Dr. Coral Halstead, DVM
Dr. Coral grew up on her family’s farm outside of Lawler. After high school, she earned her veterinary technician degree from Kirkwood Community College and became a registered veterinary technician in 2016. During her time as a veterinary technician, her passion for veterinary medicine deepened, inspiring her to complete the pre-requisites for veterinary school at the University of Northern Iowa. In 2021, she was accepted into the Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine and graduated in 2025.
Currently, Dr. Coral and her Husband, Joe, live outside of West Union with their dog, Cannoli, their cat, Bit and their herd of outdoor farm cats. Outside of her academic and professional pursuits, she enjoys kayaking, attempting to homestead, and spending quality time with her family and friends.
Diana Boesker, RVT
Diana is a 2007 graduate of Kirkwood Community College's Veterinary Technician program, and has been with North Fayette Animal Clinic ever since. Diana enjoys all aspects of Veterinary Medicine, but loves the special relationships built with patients and their families most; from puppyhood to the senior years. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her daughter and husband, three cats, and her beautiful English Labrador, Duke. You'll often find Diana and Duke in dog training classes, or out and about on the different trails in Northeast Iowa.
Registered Veterinary TechnicianÂ
Olivia originally grew up in the Sumner area and attended Northeast Iowa Community College, where she studied Agricultural Business and Accounting. She joined the North Fayette Animal Clinic team shortly after Edgewood Veterinary Clinic purchased NFAC. Olivia originally started with Edgewood Veterinary Clinic a year earlier before making the move to NFAC.
Her favorite part of veterinary medicine is being able to help both our patients and their families.
Outside of work, Olivia enjoys spending time with her fiancé, Steven, and their two furry companions—Maya, their Chesapeake Bay Retriever, and Luna, their Corgi. She also loves spending time at the river, boating, hunting, hiking, fishing, and farming.
Olivia Schmitt, Office Manager
Wendy Snuggerud, CVT
Wendy had been in the veterinary profession since 1996. She loves assisting with Ultrasounds and anesthesia monitoring. In her spare time, Wendy competes with her Doberman, Vizsla, and Golden Retriever in Scentwork, Obedience, Rally Obedience, Tracking, and Agility.

Madeline Bodensteiner, Kennel Technician
Madeline joined the NFAC team in September of 2025 as a sophomore in high school. She has a dog named Ginny, a cat named Opie, and a herd of horses. Madeline joined the clinic with aspirations of being an equine vet. In her free time she enjoys spending time with friends and family, showing horses, and art. Â
Rachel Hanson, Veterinary Assistant
Rachel started in the veterinary field in 2020 whilst going to college at NICC in Calmar. She graduated from NICC's Production and Companion Animal Veterinary Technician program in the spring of 2021. Rachel has been a veterinary assistant at the North Fayette Animal Clinic since May of 2022. When she isn't working hard, Rachel enjoys spending time going on a multitude of mini adventures with her family, horseback riding at AMF Equitation in Ridgeway, IA, and walking her dog, Oatmeal, at Echo Valley.
